I've partnered with the Domestic Violence and Child Advocacy Center of Cleveland (DVCAC), now known as Journey, to create 10 original artworks that encompass what domestic abuse entails.

These 10 drawings of grenades with the word "LOVE" inscripted on their side represent the act of "Love Bombing," a technique used by abusers to gain the attention, affection and ultimately the control over their victim. Psychologists have identified "Love Bombing" as a part of the abusive cycle seen in many cases of domestic violence.

My mission as a women’s rights activist is to make society at large aware of this kind of abuse through my art so it can be recognized before it’s too late. It’s easy to say it will never happen to you until it does.

A percentage of proceeds from these pieces will be donated directly to the Domestic Violence and Child Advocacy Center of Cleveland, now known as the Journey Center for Safety and Healing.

  • Pen and Ink on Illustration Board
